Cleaners & More
There are basically two types of automatic pool cleaners to choose from; suction and pressure.

The suction side cleaner attaches either to the pool skimmer or a pool side suction line and is operated by the
existing circulation pump. Debris is picked up by the sweep and deposited into the pump basket. A transparent
leaf canister can be attached to the cleaner’s hose (advisable) so that the debris is collected in a safer
manner, thereby preventing plumbing line blocks and overstuffed pump baskets.

Suction side cleaners are: Baracuda, Kreepy Krauly, Navigator, Polaris 340 and Great White.

Pressure cleaners operate on a separate pump (booster), and are driven by the force of the returning water.
Pools have to be pre-plumbed for this style sweep. Debris is collected in a netted basket attached to the
cleaner.

Pressure style cleaners are: Polaris 380, Polaris 280, and Letro Legend.
